This update gives you the ability to temporarily bypass the filter using a password. A reboot is NOT required!

This update gives you Layer 7 packet filtering which allows you to stop many p2p, chat and other apps at the application level. There are also several bug fixes. A reboot IS required.

This patch fixes a bug in the backup program and adds support for LSI Logic SATA/SAS Adapters. A reboot is not required.

This updates the spamfilter, adds machine look-up to iputils, adds identd client to itutils, and other small bug fixes. A reboot is not required.

This patch adds import & export to the content filter settings. Adds search ability to phrase lists and blacklists. Adds the new connection analyzer tool. A reboot is not required.

Patch 12 - March 8/07

This patch includes an update for the new Daylight Savings times. It also adds two new utilities to the IPUtils page - dig and nslookup, both are DNS diagnostic tools. A reboot is not required.

Patch 11 - January 12/07

Patch 11 gives you a new content filter interface. The new interface layout is structured so that the administration can configure your content filter solutions easily and effectively. Note: After installation, you will find the content filter MUCH MORE RESTRICTIVE and some EDITING will be required. A reboot is not required.

Ident Authentication has now been added to the list of athentication options (Authentication options already included on the NetSentron are: NT, Active Directory and NetSentron Authentication). You can find the Ident Authentication option on the Content Filter page. (Note: Content Filter is now located under the new Filters button). This option allows the NetSentron to identify the users on the LAN by their login name, making it simpler for the administrator to match user names rather than matching IP addresses to a computer.

Patch 9 also made changes to the DMZ Pinholes page - You now have the ability to enter entire networks rather than single IP addresses.

Patch 8 - September 12/06

This update adds SMTP Authentication to the mail config, sends emails when there is an update, allows certificate life to be set, allows multiple admin email addresses in mail config, allows the ability to disable filtering on Blue, and fixes some small bugs. A reboot is not required.

You can apply the patches by logging into your NetSentron Administration screen. Go to System/Updates to download and install the most recent patch.
